Capacitive Deionization CapDI technology

Dutch technology and American industry work to desalinate brackish water. It has the advantage of adjusting and stabilizing the salts to achieve the desired water quality by the consumer. In addition to a set of features:
• Extraction of usable water to a rate of up to 95%
• Low electricity consumption
• Low operating cost
• Low maintenance cost compared to other technologies
• The package contains a system of remote monitoring and dynamic control
• Do not use chemicals in the separation of salts
• Automatic cleaning
Environmentally friendly units

The basic stages of CapDI technology

مرحلة المعالجة الأولية (التنقية)

Saline water flows into the CapDI unit and the reversely charged electrodes attract dissolved ions to collect around the electrodes, while desalinated water flows out of the system. There, selective membranes allow the passage of positive and then negative ions to effectively remove all types of ions from water, such as: calcium, sodium, sulfate, and others.

Phase Two (Renewal)

Once the ions collect around the electrodes, they are regenerated by reversing the electric charge of the electrodes saturated with the ions. Since like charges repel each other, the ions are pushed off the electrodes and become trapped between the membranes to start the third stage.

Third stage (water flow/drainage)

A saline solution is added between two selective membranes to recharge the electrodes to normal; The system will work again to desalinate a new batch of water.
